NEONWORKS
A Light Against the Current
Part I: The Anachronism
In an age where time itself is measured in fleeting pixels and disposable notifications, we found ourselves drawn to a different kind of glow.
Not the cold, efficient light of an LED, but the warm, analog breath of a Nixie tube—a technology declared obsolete decades ago.
These were not mere components. Each glass envelope, hand-blown in the 1960s or 70s, was a relic of a different era. They counted down missile launches, guided spacecraft, and illuminated control panels in a world defined by physical confrontation and audacious exploration—the Cold War, the Space Race.
We saw in their soft, orange hue not just a vintage aesthetic, but a philosophical statement: a testament to human ingenuity that you could hold in your hand.

Part II: The Reclamation
The first challenge was technical: to miniaturize, re-engineer, and tame this power-hungry, fragile artifact into a reliable modern timepiece.
It was a puzzle of constraints—size, power, heat, durability—that demanded not just engineering skill, but a system architect's mind. We succeeded.
The second challenge was human. After our initial creation gained recognition, we learned a brutal lesson about the world of creation.
Trust was broken, control was usurped, and our work was nearly taken from us. It was a moment of truth. We chose the harder path.
We fought to reclaim sovereignty over every single aspect: every circuit design, every line of code, every relationship with a supplier. True creation cannot be outsourced. What bears our name must be under our absolute stewardship, from first principle to final product.

Part III: The Artifact
Today, NEONWORKS stands as a small, deliberate rebellion against the ephemeral.
Each watch is a convergence point:
- History: A 50-year-old Nixie tube, carrying the patina and story of its era.
- Craftsmanship: Meticulous, hands-on assembly where modern CNC machined cases meet the irreplaceable irregularity of vintage glass.
- Engineering Rigor: Silent, relentless pursuit of optimization—maximizing battery life, ensuring shock resistance, achieving perfect readability.
- Narrative: Your wrist carries a fragment of technological history, resurrected and given a new purpose.

Who It's For
This is not for the trend-chaser.
Appreciates the depth and weight of a true story over a marketing slogan.
Seeks authenticity and provenance in a world of mass-produced sameness.
Understands that value is often found in what was preserved, not just what is new.
Respects the sovereignty of the maker and chooses to support independent creation.
Our Promise
We will not chase gimmicks or dilute our essence for a wider audience.
Our evolution will be guided by a single principle: to create heirlooms for the digital age. Objects that are not consumed, but curated. A light on your wrist that is a quiet, steadfast reminder that some things—true craftsmanship, personal integrity, tangible history—are worth preserving.
NEONWORKS. Forging tangible permanence in a digital stream.
